This should be called No agenda wednesday. entered this day burnt out of giving so much time to reselling; listing, cross-listing, organizing, and even packaging. Because I list on several sites now besides ebay, i get in trouble when someone buys from me on etsy and immediately and unknowingly buys the same item from me on ebay. Unfortunately, by the time they get to ebay there is no more product since they already bought it on etsy. but they order it before i can delete the ebay listing. So they order on ebay a product that doesn’t exist. I cancel the order and ebay hates that. They hate that you cancelled an order because you don’t have it in your inventory. It happened twice to me in a matter of days. I just earned back my top rated seller status after losing it because of the same situation. But these two incidents hit hard and if reviewed right now i’d be below average seller. I lose the perks and most likely my listings are hidden. I had no sales today. Decided to not cross list and mostly rely on ebay. I want to move into being a little more of a specialist anyway. I listed one thing today. Feeders and being birdless

where are the birds? they used to live on this property like a resort with two baths, several feeders, and plenty of trees and bushes to hide. I’ve found several nests here. Lately, there are none. Maybe it’s the seeds i’ve been setting out. Not my favorite seed. These were given to me as a gift. I also added a new feeder that I hate and put small sticks attached so they have a perch to feed. I have sticks sticking up all around to give them perches. This all has to be taken down and start from scratch. I tossed the old moldy seed and cleaned each of the three feeders. I put out suet to attract them. They weren’t even eaten that Delicacy. I filled the three feeders with new seed and hung them up. One has a batch of new seed bought at a garage sale in a sealed back. I will keep my eye on that one to see if it is the old seed i’ve been putting out. I do believe the seed got kinda rancid or something though it wasn’t old. But rarely do i dump out of seed and wash out the feeder. i need to do this more often. i don’t want to harm the birds. But it can’t be helped that water enters the feeder. I’ve gone so far as to put up umbrellas over the feeders. that worked in keeping water out. But I removed the umbrellas. Maybe I’ll return the umbrellas and commit to keeping the feeders clean. I put the feeders out; one in back, two in front. I’ll notice very quickly if there is a difference. The birds should feed and return. There has always been a buzz of birds around here. It’s strange that they’ve chosen elsewhere to reside.

I noticed a black slug. this is not a native slug but a european invasive species. They’re all around and like moist areas full of vegetation.

Beehive aftermath

Weeks ago I eliminated this beehive, twice. I hit it with spray i keep around from home depot. does the job. I’ve taken out hives in the ground several times but never one inhabiting one of my homemade bird feeders. This one is located on the side of the house no one goes. The bees were well established and growing. I had to take it out for the sake of the neighbors and ourselves. I cleaned it out today and took a couple of shot of the aftermath.
