The Muffler Man was a 25 foot fiberglass statue bought by businesses for advertising purposes. Thousands were made and displayed. Phillips 66 gas stations and the Muffler Man were closely associated. In 2008 while visiting Panama and staying in the old officer’s quarters in Albrook, towering out front was the Muffler Man only he was a Shriner wearing a fez.
