An unconventional way of gardening. I had stored up a good amount of seeds, both vegetable and flower. Most of these are still in their packets and have been stored in a dry place in my shop. There is little chance they will grow because I get little sun because of the tall trees. Even if something grows it doesn’t have the energy to bare fruit so to speak.

These seeds are also years old, going back to covid. Today they got planted in the ground in a place that receives partial sun. I planted every seed that got put aside over the years; beets, cauliflower, corn, parsley, okra, squash, beans, basil, kohlrabi, bean, pea, echinacea, cantaloupe, parsnip, turnip, eggplant, zucchini, and bell peppers.

All these went into the ground in a mishmash. I’ve spent years in futility trying to grow seeds that require full sun as most of these do require. I’ve resorted to starting plants indoors in the window and under a light. I’ve had partial success. What I have had success with is propagating native-like plants such as sword ferns, hydrangeas, and euonymus. Happy gardening people.
