This little succulent does well where you least expect it. Back a few years ago, along the well worn walkway leading up to the front door were several strands of this plant. I took some cuttings and replanted in pots. There was a time when almost all my cuttings and the original ground cover died on me. It could have been from a winter frost or mishandling. Just keep at it. plant in good soil and leave it alone. Tuck the pot somewhere and forget about it. Quit handling it. Once strong with many strands, take cuttings. In the Northwest, succulents kept outdoors may die due to frost so have plenty of them in various places. They do better in pots and partial sun. Needs to be undisturbed.
I hate moving the pot after the plant has done do well in a certain location. But that’s part of gardening; moving things around. The stonecrop grows in many varieties, so many I can’t really identify with uncertainty, the kind I have. They grow by rhizomes which make for good groundcover. However, as I mentioned, they are very delicate to me at least and are better placed in pots.
I’ve had a lot of fun with this succulent, as these photos show.
