This land called Yellowstone

There were trees
And grizzlies
We heard the birds
And saw the herds

With our eyes on
We saw the bison
It doesn’t seem to care
And wanders everywhere

And the people photograph
The mother and her calf
The time, they pass
By picking at the grass

The elk and deer doe
Hang out in the meadow
Where they find food to eat
Growing at their feet

Who cares about time
In this land so fine
We use a checklist
For the animal that best fits

While the days pass away
And are a memory today
We grow wiser
Observing the geyser

We’ve seen it all
The lakes, rivers, and waterfall
And have come to know
This land called Yellowstone
